KRUT Food Truck Festival June 12 Dear Clarendon neighbors, Vermont Aviators Association, Inc. will be conducting 6 food truck festivals this season at Rutland-Southern Vermont Regional Airport. special warning TOWN OF CLARENDON WARNING SPECIAL TOWN MEETING JUNE 13, 2022 The legal voters of the Town of Clarendon, Vermont are hereby warned and notified to meet at the Clarendon Town Hall on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 5:30PM for the purpose of voting from floor Article 1. ARTICLE 1. Shall the voters authorize the Treasurer, pursuant to 32 V.S.A. § 4791 to collect current taxes? Robert Bixby, Select Board Clerk Robert S. TOWN OF CLARENDON Highway Department The Town of Clarendon is hiring a temporary laborer to assist the Highway Department for an unspecified amount of time. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, physically able to perform manual labor, be willing to learn, and represent the town in a professional manner. Individual must work well with others and safely perform work duties. CDL is preferred, but not required. Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience. Clarendon Dog Registrations were due Friday, April 1, 2022. All dogs six months of age must be licensed annually and a current rabies certificate must be provided at the time of licensing. The fees are now: Spayed Females and Neutered Males: $17.00; Females and Males Intact: $21.00. If you cannot come to the office, you may send the rabies certificate, a check payable to ‘Town of Clarendon’ and a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Clarendon Town Clerk, PO Box 30, Clarendon VT 05759. To remove the name of a previously licensed dog, please call 775-4274 ext. 1.

FIREWORKS PERMITTING PROCESS According to 20 V.S.A. §3132: Application for permits shall be made to the chief of the fire department, or in municipalities with no fire department, the select board, in writing, at least 15 days in advance of the date of the display. After the permit has been granted, sales, possessions, use, and distribution of fireworks for the display shall be lawful for that purpose only. No permit granted under this section shall be transferable. The Clarendon Fire Dept. no longer issues firework permits, the Select Board does. Please plan your firework displays accordingly, and note that the Select Board meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. Thus, firework permit requests must be submitted to the Select Board’s Administrative Assistant 15 days prior to the date of the display, and in conjunction with when the Board meets, for them to approve the permits.
