**UPDATE** to back of tax bills:
Payments must be received in the Town of Clarendon office on or before the due date of Thursday, October 15, 2026. All taxes unpaid or not postmarked by the due date will be delinquent and will incur an 8% penalty and 1% interest on October 16, 2026. Interest of 1% of the principal balance will be added for the first three months of delinquency and will then increase to 1.5% per month thereafter.
The Tax Collector’s office will be open the two weeks prior to the due date. The office will be open: Thursday, October 1st and Friday, October 2nd, 2026 from 10:00am-4:00pm, Monday, October 5th thru Saturday, October 10th, 2026 from 10:00am-4:00pm, and Monday, October 12th thru Thursday, October 15th, 2026 from 10:00am-4:00pm.
Please mail payments to: Town of Clarendon, PO Box 30, Clarendon VT 05759. We also have a drop box outside of the Treasurer’s office for your convenience. If you would like a receipt, please note with your payment.
