Meeting Minutes
Monday June 2, 2025
6:30 p.m.
Clarendon Town Hall
Meeting called to order at 6:30
Present: John McKenna, Heidi Eccleston, John Colvin, Sarah Kumm,
Don Pratt, Brownson Spence came in at 7:00
Public: Eric Engelhardt, Marjorie White, Kevin Dougherty
Action Items
- Approve Agenda – Approved By Consensus
- Public Comment – Marjie – “I read Rutland regional plan and pointed out we do not have to accept his map.”
- Approve Minutes From Meeting 4/7/2025 & 5/5/25 – Heidi made a motion to approve minutes and John seconded.
Old Business
- Discussion of Results of Email to Town Officials – Received 3 responses.
- Discussion of Survey Content – We went through questions on the 2014 survey and discussed adding and/or removing questions.
- Discussed : adding a village center to Pierces Corner, including Nuclear as a renewable energy source, adding a question about trash removal cost.
New Business
- Discussion of Draft Rutland Regional Planning Commission Map – Discussion followed. Marjorie Commented (see public comment). Wednesday people can come down to Grange Hall to give input on the map.
- New Member – Eric E will send in his interest letter to the Chair of the Planning Commission.
Other Business
- Member Updates – Carol Gerry has resigned and we have 2 letters of interest for the seat. We will make a recommendation and it will go to the select board. Brownson made a motion to recommend Dan Pinkowski for the planning Commission open seat and John C seconded the motion. Brownson voted yes, Sarah voted yes, Don voted yes, John C voted yes, John M voted No, Heidi voted No
Heidi made a motion to recommend Eric Engelhardt for the open seat on the planning commission and it was seconded by Don P. Heidi voted yes, Sarah voted yes, John M voted yes, Don voted yes, Brownson abstained from voting, John C voted No.
- Meetings – Brownson moves we take summer off from regular Planning Commission meetings. Our next meeting will be September 15th 6:30 at the Town Hall.
