Clarendon Rec Meeting Minutes 4/2/25
Meeting Called to Order 8:30
Members Present: Sarah Kumm, Ashley Robinson, Jan Mccoy, Christine Gatti-Palance
Guest: Linda Obrien
Discussion:
Library Updates – how do we post on social media to get more people involved? Library has
facebook Page, Clarendon Bailey Memorial Library.
– Open entry way of Grange hall make it more welcoming for parents to sit. Story Time with
Chris starts in April.
– Lets work together as a team to get more people connected.
– Get Teens involved – Black and white photos of stuff in Clarendon.
Updates Baseball:
– RLL doing work on field and Clarendon Rec supplied Clay and Town is working on wood pile and chipping.
– Let Rec crew know to move boulder to spot next to fence
– A-1 Porto Potty Ashely spoke to them – They will donate unit until the end of season.
Meeting Atmosphere:
– Solution focused communication.
Signs –
Do we keep using awesome graphics or commission someone new for signs?
Ashely will draw up sample for new sign for dugouts.
Signs to acknowledge persons who have donated on Banners: Pro Cycle, Highway
Department, Jan and Ashley donations, Jared Hathaway.
Flier – asking for donations for things on the field and promote their business.
Volleyball field – Webb donating culverts to drain water before getting sand
Coffee for Library will be to Library by April 23rd – Sign “provided by Rec”
Business for next time:
– By-Laws
– Need Donations, for whats next….Pavilion, Basketball court, Playground Equipment
– Jan will ask Noreen for flower basket donations.
Meeting adjourned 9:35
Next meeting will be May 7th at 8:30 at the Rec Field weather permitting otherwise it will be at the Grange Hall.
